Hey there! My name is Rachel. I am a natural light, documentarian style wedding & portrait photographer based in the beautiful PNW. I currently reside in central Washington nestled in the cascade mountains. I travel all over the country to photograph love stories and I could not imagine doing anything else. I found photography in high school & was instantly captivated by the creative process it encompasses. I have been in business for 5 years and have been full time for 3 years. I have shot in over 15 different countries and 13 different states, so I have a lot of experience shooting in diverse places. I have studied photography in 2 different countries learning from some of the best photographers in the industry. By traveling so much, I learned so much about human connection and witnessed love in many different cultures. Love truly is universal & one of the best feelings a human can know. I know that choosing a photographer can be overwhelming, but I can say with 100% confidence that I have a unique eye that will provide you with images you will cherish forever. I strive to always set myself apart, to go above and beyond for my clients and create special, honest work for them. In my off season I teach photography to aspiring photographers and mentor them in their business. I scale back my work schedule in the winter so that I can snowboard, write & travel. I would consider my business and shooting style to be very relaxed, enjoyable and relational. I like to treat my client relationships like friendships because I am responsible for capturing such intimate moments for them. Before photography, I identified myself as a writer. For as long as I can remember I’ve kept a journal. I wrote about everything through every season of my life. From six years old to twenty-two, I’ve wrote about it all. Looking back, I am so thankful to have my seasons & feelings documented because they remind me of who I was & inspire me for who I have yet to become. I have this box that I keep random special, very special, things in. Above are some photos that I have held onto as people in my life have come & gone, like my beautiful grandparents. Just LOOK at their sweet faces. These photos mean the absolute world to me because it shows me so much of who they were. These photos are still here, even though the souls are not. These photos provide me a visual of their smiles & a window to their hearts. I will save these to give to my kids. 

THIS IS WHY I DO THIS FOR A LIVING. Because I want you to have photos you can look back on, give your kids & enjoy when you are thirty seven, fifty seven & eighty seven. I promise to serve you with an experience you won’t forget & also images you will want to keep forever & pass down to generations to come.
